Busier than a One-legged Man in an ...

Well, you know the rest.

It seems Spring has Sprung! I'm certainly ready for some warmer weather. I'm still waiting for that last push of cold we always seem to get right before Summer hits (we don't really have a spring here) but the weeds, and bushes, and postapocalyptic wasteland of my back yard are not waiting around for the official announcement of Spring.

Spent the last weekend cleaning and weeding, but would hardly notice the difference. The one difference I've noticed is that my body hurts in places I've never felt before, and I realize that yardwork is not the healthy and relaxing chore I was to believe. I'd like to find the person who propagated that myth and ... well, you know.

Now that I've worn myself down I can get back to some writing.

  1. Any time I have to go outside it involves yardwork, so not much for the 'great outdoors.'

  2. This morning I told my son how to dress to go out into the near-dark air. He says "really, you think it might rain and get really story?"

Turned out he wasn't interested in the brewing storm, or the possibility of getting out of school early. He just wanted a good excuse not to go outside. He's tired of my bitching about the time he spends on the computer and Xbox.

Well, I don't go out to do yard work either.

I'll relish in your sore muscles and the fact that you breathed fresh air. Now you can get back to work on the next novel . .

  3. We don't really get a spring here either. We have winter and August. August doesn't usually start to sometime in July. We'll get some teasings before then.
